As summer approaches, ensure your kids are fully prepared to enjoy the ocean safely. Our specialised Surf Survival and Breath Training course is designed for groms aged 10-14 and will equip them with essential skills every grom needs. From mastering breath control to learning crucial survival techniques, this two-hour session combines dryland and in-pool training under the expert guidance of a highly accredited coach.
Participants will learn essential safety skills, optimal breath techniques, survival skills, panic management, anxiety reduction strategies, swimming skills, underwater skills and performance enhancement techniques specific to surfing, surf life saving, ocean swimming and water sports.
DURATION AND TIMES
The course will be conducted over a single 2-hour session starting at 8.00am - 10am.
8.00am - 9.00am Dryland education & training.
9.00am- 10am Pool session.

AGES
This course is best suited to kids aged 10 - 14 years.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
It is recommended that participants have a good level of physical fitness, are of good health and are capable of swimming at least 150m unassisted. Gosford pool is a 50m outdoor heated pool with a 1.2m shallow end and a 1.8m deep end. Kids must be confident enough to swim unassisted in the deep end. If you child requires more assistance in this area we may suggest a different course. Please feel free to contact our friendly coaching staff if you are unsure of your childs suitability.

COST AND BOOKING
The Surf Survival and Breath Training Grom 2 hour Session is $150aud pp. Please note course fee does not cover pool entry. Pool entry fee is $5.00 and can be paid at the main entry. Parents are welcome to view the pool training (only) from the main grandstand. Spectactor entry fees apply. Parking at Gosford Pool is free. Hot showers and kiosk on-site.
