BEC WOODS

WOW where to start. Bec is a registered Osteopath with a Bachelor of Clinical Sciences, Major in Human Structure and Function Osteopathic Studies from Southern Cross University AND a Master of Osteopathic Medicine, Clinical Science Osteopathy from Southern Cross University.

Bec is a former professional surfer spending 9 consecutive years inside the top 10 in the world on the ASP/ WSL World Tour. Prior to that Bec claimed a World Junior Championship and an Australian Surfing Junior Championship.

Over the years Bec has held her Surfing NSW coaching accreditations and coached many surfers both locally and internationally. You'll also occasionally see her surf commentating some of Australia's big surf events between treating patients at her clinic.

Bec also holds a WWC, First Aid & CPR qualifications. She is a closet rev head and a shameful Manly Sea Eagles supporter. Bec contributes a wealth of knowledge and experience in health, performance, surfing, aquatics, rehabilitation, injury prevention research and training to name just a few topics. We are incredibly proud and lucky to have her.

A few words from Bec.

"Learning the correct techniques for surfing breathwork and breath holds is essential for safety, survival, and performance in the water. I wish I had access to these techniques when I was on the World Surf Tour. Now, I use them for everyday life, for my role as an osteopath, and of course, for surfing!

Universal Apnea employs scientific and evidence-based approachs to breathwork and apnea training which made me feel more confident and capable in and out of the water.

I highly recommend these programs to anyone looking to improve their physical and mental wellbeing. Every single surfer should not only know how to swim, but have basic surf survival skills and breath management. It's not just about holding your breath during wipeouts.

There is so much more to performance, survival and confidence that you will achieve with this type of training."
